What Is The Most Important Social Media Network For Your Business’ Growth?
But seriously, what is the most important social media network for your business’ growth?
That’s a question that many first-time business owners are likely asking themselves on a daily basis. Will Snapchat take your social media following to the next level, or will Facebook? What about Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest?
This is a very valuable question to ask for the simple fact that social media can help take your business to the next level. No, social media is not only for startups, it’s for any company that is looking to gain more customers, connect with its customers, sell more product, etc.
So, what social media network should you use? More likely than not, the best answer is this: A combination of different social media networks is the best strategy when it comes to the growth of your business. In terms of which networks make the cut, well, it’s completely up to you.

We will say this, though: Trying out any social media network that you see fit is not a bad idea. Then you can narrow it down based off of the success of each social media account. For example, if you are struggling to gain followers on Twitter, or you aren’t engaging with your followers in general (your followers aren’t liking, sharing or commenting on your posts), then you might want to drop the Twitter act altogether.
However, you need to collect data for each network and you also need to give it some time. Success on social media typically doesn’t happen overnight — well, unless you are a celebrity, that is.
While it is best to try out many different social media networks, having a Facebook account is likely essential. Unlike Myspace, Facebook is not going anywhere. The best part? Everyone seems to have a Facebook account, which is essential if you are trying to reach your target audience. Not to mention, videos and live streaming are great ways to reach said target audience, and those two techniques are currently blowing up on Facebook.
No matter what the case, your business needs to use some form of social media in hopes of gaining more customers, engaging with said customers (via comments, likes, shares, etc.) and selling more product.
One tip: If you don’t have the manpower, then signing up for every single social media network might not be the best option. After all, you don’t want to cut yourself thin as a result of trying to be a jack of all trades. If you would prefer to stick with one, two or even three different networks, then that is perfectly fine. By incorporating that strategy, you will be able to achieve the goal that is monitoring a couple of different networks while also not cutting yourself too thin or skipping any steps, such as analyzing the data, following trends and trying new ways to reach your customers/followers.
If your target audience is using one social media network more than the others, then it is probably in your best interest to join them. In the grand scheme of things, the decision is yours to make, but it’s important to go where your customers/target audience is, and to also use a social media network that is thriving, such as Facebook or Snapchat.
