Give Your Facebook Followers What They Want In 2017
Now that 2016 has come to a close, it’s time to hit the ground running — and then some — in 2017.
First things first, how happy are your Facebook followers? In other words, did you gain a lot of followers in 2016, or did you lose a lot of followers? Did your posts get a ton of likes, comments, shares, etc.? If you struggled in that department, then you need to give your Followers what they want in 2017.
One might be wondering how they can achieve that feat. Simple. Go back to your posts in 2016 and see what worked and what didn’t work. You can literally see how well your posts performed by going into “Insights.” From there, you need to look at which posts performed well and which posts didn’t. If you see a trend — and you likely will — then you need to incorporate your findings into your strategy for 2017.
Of course, you don’t want to base your entire strategy off of these numbers alone. After all, while you want to give your followers what they want (that is essential if you are going to build your brand, your following and your business), you still are the authority figure here. In other words, if you want your followers to see a certain post/article, then you can and should. Not to mention, social media can be hit or miss from time to time. Trends might exist in your Facebook stats, but that does not mean there is a clear-cut rule on what works and what doesn’t work.
Just because your followers like videos more (videos have kind of taken over on social media), that does not mean all of your posts have to be videos. With that said, if your video posts are performing off the charts, then you should probably incorporate more videos in 2017.
Another way to give your Facebook followers what they want in 2017 is by going back and seeing what the comment sections said. If similar posts received amazing feedback, then you should probably incorporate more of those posts.
While growing your Facebook following won’t grow your business by itself, it’s crucial that you are keeping your followers/customers happy in the new year. One of the ways to do that is by giving them what they want on social media. To a certain extent, of course, because you are still the authority figure.
